CSWA Mechanical CAD
3D CAD Design
This section of the certification level tests my competency in utilising different CAD commands including: Sketch (lines, geometry and planes), Extrude (boss/cut), Revolve (boss/cut), Patterns (circular, linear, mirrors), Fillets and chamfers (in sketches and solid bodies) and equations tool to produce a 3D model of the required 2D drawing. My answer was validated by assigning a material to my body and verifying the mass of the body with choices available in the test.
Assembly
This section of the certification level tests my competency in utilising different CAD commands including: Assembly Creation, Mates (coincident, concentric and distance) and centre of mass calculations in order to validate my design. My answer was validated depending on the centre of mass coordinates based on origin coordinates, alternative coordinates, or by measuring an unknown distance between 2 points on the assembly based on the question requirements.
